If you already have a design, no worries; we accept other file formats, including JPEG, PNG, or EPS.
For photographic content, high-resolution JPEGs are recommended, preferably without compression. For graphics or text-based content, we recommend print-ready, vector-based PDFs. For content that is a combination of graphics and photography, we suggest using print-ready PDFs to ensure the best quality.
Prepare your files using CMYK as the colour mode, not RGB. Use colourmode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2). If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.
Please note: The material used for a flag is very absorbent therefore the colour can come out lighter than expected. This is especially the case with black. For rich black please use (Cyan 60, Magenta 40, Yellow 40 & Black 100).
Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are at least 150 dpi.

Longlife material: Strong 115 gsm fabric perforated with tiny holes. The holes make sure the flag can resist strong winds and a longer life is guaranteed. This material is best used in open areas or beaches.
Standard Flag Material: Classic 110 gsm flag canvas with a glossy look, great for advertising on busy shopping streets.
Recycled Material: 110 gsm PET material with fine structure, hemmed to prevent fraying.
Air Mesh Material: 120 gsm canvas with tiny holes for strong wind resistance, ideal for open areas and beaches. The printed colours on this material may appear slightly less bright than on standard flag material.
The lifespan of the flag is approx. 3 to 5 months while using it intensively. You can expand the lifespan by bringing the flags inside in harsh weather.
We advise bringing your flags inside if gale force reaches 7. This will greatly improve the lifespan of your flags.
Metal ground spike: The metal ground spike is ideal to place your beachflag outdoors on soft but firm ground, such as soil. The metal ground spike is best suited for smaller beachflags. For larger beachflags, we advise using the parasol base + rotator.
Plastic screw base: The plastic screw base is ideal when you want to place your beachflag on soft ground such as turf or sand. The plastic screw base can also be used for larger beachflags.
Cross Foot (indoor): The crossfoot is suitable for flat surfaces. The metal frame and 4 legs make sure it's extra steady. The crossfoot measures 85cm x 85cm and is 20cm high.
Cross foot + waterbag: The crossfoot is suitable for flat surfaces. The waterbag, added to the metal frame, provides additional stability and resistance. The crossfoot measures 85cm x 85cm and is 20cm high.
Parasol base (indoor/outdoor): The parasol base with wheels is the perfect reinforcement for your beachflag and can be used on even and uneven surfaces. Fill the parasol base with water or sand, and it will stand firmly on the ground. The base measures 48cm x 48cm and weighs 1.6kg (without sand or water).
Parasol base + rotator: If you intend on using your beachflag outdoors, we recommend using this base and rotator. Your beachflag can spin around in the parasol base, drawing extra attention!
Light black plate This base is made of steel and has a classic black lacquer finish, giving it a sleek and classy look. The plate has movable stabilizers, allowing it to be used on various stable surfaces. The weight of this plate is 5.4 kg and dimensions are 40 x 40 cm.
For the production of Feather Banner, we use the following technique(s):
Sublimation: With this technique, the printing is carried out at a high temperature, where the eco-friendly water based ink seeps directly into the material. The material remains flexible and is waterproof.
The beachflags are always finished on the leftside with a tunnel. On the top of the tunnel is an extra solid part so the beachflag itself does not get damaged by the flagpole.
Beachflags made from normal flag material are finished on the left side (opposite side of where the flag tunnel is) with a hem finished with double stitching.
Beachflags made of longlife material are finished on the left side with a lasercutting method. The flag gets cut off and heat sealed together. This means that longlife material does not need hemming and also expands the lifetime of your beachflag.

For the best set-up of your Feather Banner we recommend pulling your flag as far as possible through the flag tunnel so it's as tightly pulled as possible. This way your flag will not get creased and won't damage easily.
The diameter of the pole that comes with the flag is ±2cm.
Our flags are printed on one side as standard. This means that your logo is visible as a mirror image on the back. The print-through of our flags is around 95%.
Our flags are printed single-sided by default.
Unfortunately, this is currently not possible.
The colours printed on flag fabrics will never be as sharp as they are on your screen, especially the colour black. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Can I wash my flag?
Flags can get dirty from sand, dust, salt, or mud, which can impact their appearance. No need to worry, you can safely pop your flag into the washing machine! We advise washing with cold water, and highly recommend allowing it to air dry. This is also important to remember if your material has been in the rain. Make sure to wait for it to dry before placing it in storage.
Weather watch
While the materials are weather-resistant, they do have limits. Heavy rain or winds should prompt temporary indoor placement to maintain appearance. Short showers are fine, but prolonged exposure will have an impact. To keep your flag in top condition, we recommend shielding it from harsh weather conditions.

4. Design check & order approval
Your file will be checked, and we will send you a digital proof for your approval. It's important to review the proof before the time and date displayed on your order overview page to ensure that your chosen turnaround can be met.
Note: In some cases, our design team may need to review the file and provide an update via email.
