Needless to say that such menus may not serve as main menus of a restaurant, due to the extremely limited space they offer to display food and drink options. These can still be an option as add-ons to menus for temporary orders, or for pop-up food spots and food trucks who only offer a couple options.
It is often restaurants which offer meals and deals for limited time periods on a regular basis and therefore want a cheap single use menu to pass to their customers, which they can replace along with their offers. Additionally, it is a good medium to display a menu of the day or the chef’s recommendation, as these items cannot be displayed on the main menu. As always, such a menu is fully customisable to your taste, although it is recommended to keep it minimalistic and not include too many details as these may not be fully visible on a small size menu. Do make sure to match the theme of your restaurant, this will help make the entire menu as appetizing as possible.
At Helloprint, A7 size menus are available as unfolded menus with 4 different thicknesses to choose from, depending on your budget and on how you want to use them. These go from the slim 135gsm thickness to the solid 400gsm. You may then choose from 4 different finishes to give your menu that extra shine; you can even opt for
unfolded menus! Finally, you can opt for single or double sided printing, up to you. A7 menus are also available as
PVC cards which are ideal if you are looking for something sturdier; these are tear and moisture resistant and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. The choice is now for you to make, but as always, feel free to
contact us for extra guidance.
Printing resolution for A7 Menu Cards
When preparing an image to be printed on A7 size you need to make sure you set it up on the right resolution. For A7 this would be 74 x 105 mm at 300 ppi (pixels per inch). To make sure you will receive your products as expected, you will have to add a bleed to your design. A 3 mm bleed on all sides is sufficient. You can add bleed by using InDesign, which has a tool to easily add bleed. In Photoshop it’s a little more work to add bleed, as you would have to do it manually. To help you with this we have free templates on our product pages. Simply use the one of the product you’re ordering and include bleed accordingly!
