B1 format is the best choice for posters as they are big enough for people to easily notice, making them an efficient promotional material. After all, if people can see the content of your posters even from a fair distance then the more likely they are to be interested in reading its contents. Furthermore, it has surface space which is large enough for you to put elaborate design and text, which will surely add more aesthetic value to your marketing medium.
For instance, you can incorporate the products that your brand is known for, allowing for prospects unfamiliar to them to learn more about what your brand offers. You can also include information about your company’s origins as well as available branches in the area. Additionally, you can also use B1 poster formats to inform your customers of an upcoming event your brand will be sponsoring.
Aside from these, B1 format posters are available in 135 gsm Gloss MC, which is the standard choice for outdoor promotions. These posters also come in 115 gsm Blueback colour blocking, which is the best choice if you are setting up your posters as billboards or for poster walls. On the other hand, if you think your B1 poster format will be exposed to unpleasant weather in the weeks to come then a waterproof one makes for an ideal choice.

Printing resolution for B1 Formats
To ensure that your B1 poster comes out with good image quality you have to set the resolution to 700 x 1000 at 300 dpi. You should also add a 3 mm bleed on each side to prevent it from developing unwanted white borders. You can easily do this using InDesign or Photoshop. When using Photoshop, however, note that you have to add the bleed manually as it is not accounted for. If you are uncertain of what you are doing, you can use our free template on the product page of the product that you are ordering.
