Submission specifications for Bottle collars

Add 2 mm bleed.

To allow leeway for cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 2 mm around all edges of your design. Make sure colours, background pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area so as to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting tolerances. You can submit your file with crop marks and printer's marks.

Resolution of at least 300 dpi.

Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are at least 300 dpi.

Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.

Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.

Use CMYK as the color mode.

Prepare your files using CMYK as the color mode, not RGB. Use colormode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2) for coated papertypes and colormode FOGRA47 (PSO Uncoated ISO12647) for uncoated papertypes. If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.

Make sure the ink coverage isn't higher than 300%.

Force Color Images to CMYK with a 260% ink limit (in Photoshop > Convert Color Profile > Photoshop 5 Default CMYK). Make sure the ink coverage isn't higher than 300%.

Check your artwork on overprint.

Make sure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint. Unless you want this effect in your design. The degree of transparency in printing depends on the ink, paper, and printing method used.

Check your spelling and/ or typographical errors

Helloprint has specialised in the inexpensive production of printed material, we trust that you understand that we cannot proofread or typeset your material.

Transparencies with CorelDRAW must be reduced

Make sure your transparencies created with CorelDRAW and/ or Apple iWork Pages are reduced. Transparencies that are created live in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator can be processed. For live transparencies, the blending colour space in a file must be uniform.

Comments will be deleted and not printed

We automatically deleted comments before printing in PDF files. The information that the comments show will therefore not be printed.

Form field content will be deleted and not printed

PDF files can be created as e-forms enabling further specifications to be put in the so-called form fields. The contents of these fields are inserted into the print files and printed.

• The cut-off time for your printed item may vary. This depends on the combination you choose. This has to do with the manufacturing technique and / or the order quantities.
• NOTE: The product delivery shifts a day every time the deadline for submission has passed. This is also the case if the file is rejected by us and corrected artwork isn't supplied before the next cut off time.

Which production techniques do you use?

• For the production of your Bottle collars we use the following production technique(s):

  Offset Lithography printing or Litho printing makes it possible to provide larger quantities at unbeatable prices. This technique creates images and text with wet ink and transferred to each paper sheet with aluminium and rubber plates. This method is more extensive than its 'digital’ counterpart because of the different printing materials that are used. Still, it is the most cost-effective option when you order bigger printed batches.

Which carriers are used for the delivery?

• For the delivery of your bottle collars we use multiple carriers. Because of the highest reliability, in most cases we use UPS or DPD.

Are Bottle collars water proof?

• It depends on what papertype you want to have. The only water proof material we offer is 260 gsm plastic film. This material is extra sustainable.

Which materials can I choose from?

• 250gr gloss MC: this paper is mainly used in the hospitality and retail. They are 3 times as thick as printing paper and thereby they feel pretty solid. Thickness: 0,22mm
• 300 gsm Silk MC: This material is especially suited to premium products. The thick, high quality and smooth material has a matte appearance.
• 400gr silk MC: this paper is the thickest out of our range of materials and are 4x as thick as printing paper. This material is mainly used for unique and exclusive affairs. Thickness: 0,4mm
• 250gsm offset
• Chromocardboard 280gsm is a multi-layer paper with a smooth surface on one side. The front-side is glossy with water-based paint, while the back-side is untreated and therefore writable.
• CHROMOLUX Pearl 250gsm is a cardboard paper with a pearly-white front and a white writable surface on the back. All areas that would otherwise remain white on white paper, are presented in an exclusive pearly-white look. When uploading your print data, please note that the paper used on the front is coated whereas the back utilises uncoated paper. This material is ideal for postcards, business cards, folded cards, door hangers and more.
• Magic Chrome is a 250gsm cardboard paper with a metallic (reflective), high-gloss front. The back is white and writable. When uploading your print data, please note that the paper used on the front is coated whereas the back utilises uncoated paper. Magic Chrome is ideal for postcards, business cards, folded cards, door hangers and more.
• Splendorlux (FEDRIGONI) is a 250 gsm cardboard with a high-gloss coated front side. The back side is white matt, lightly coated and writable. The quality is characterised by a high stiffness and a glossy surface which makes it look like photo quality.
• Our plastic film is a matt white 260 gsm film, it is water-resistant and printed with UV colours. Both the front and the back are the same.
• Recycled board 300gsm: offers optimal opacity and offers a high quality feel. The board we offer is made of 100% recycled paper and is environmentally friendly. This papertype is perfect if you want contribute to a better environment.
