As mentioned, such large envelopes respond to a very specific need, often faced by companies in the design industry. Such companies include interior designers, architecture agencies or even urban designers, as well as design and art schools. It is common for these companies to make use of A3 documents to draw and design plans for their customers. When it comes to sending them, such documents can often not be folded, especially as it may portray the company as unprofessional.
Do you use A3 papers as part of your business? Then opt for C3 size envelopes to protect those precious documents and make sure they arrive to their destination untouched. By customising your envelopes to match your brand’s image, your customers will not only thank you but also remember you. Aside from direct mailing, such envelopes can also be used as a folder for your A3 files, in order to organise and protect them.

Printing resolution for C3 Envelopes
The resolution needed to print C3 size images with the best quality is 324 x 458 mm at 300 ppi (pixels per inch). Please do note that you would still have to add a bleed of 3 mm on all sides of your design, to ensure you receive your printed products exactly as you expected. InDesign has a tool with which you can easily add bleed to your designs, but in Photoshop you will have to add bleed manually. Not sure if you added bleed the right way?
